The Agricultural and Food Science Library (Biblioteca di Agraria) houses advanced textbooks, study materials and journals connected to the main study/research areas of our Department (Agricultural sciences, food, natural resources and engineering). In 2011 the library was named after Antonio Pellegrino, who was professor at our University and president of the Province of Foggia from 1994 to 2003.

The library provides barrier-free access (it is wheelchair accessible) and offers the following facilities:

● the reading room provides seating for 66 users.

● 3 workstations allow users to search through catalogues, databases and digital resources subscribed to by the University of Foggia; a 4th workstation is equipped for people with special needs.

In the library office users can ask the staff for information and services.

The reading room located in the I.T.T.S. Altamura (Engineering degree courses), offers 12 additional seats.

All university locations offer free wireless access (Wi-Fi) in public areas at all times; it is necessary to be registered with the Unifg Wi-Fi Eduroam service by our University IT staff (more information Eduroam).

The library collection includes more than 4300 books, over 220 current printed journals. Ebooks, databases and e-journals (full-text) are available for institutional users.

The library also houses some ancient and rare books, and collections of VHS and Cd-Rom, available by appointment only. All the collection is searchable through Unifg OPAC and Discovery Tool.
