Medical Library

The library is located in the “E. Altomare” Research center (Polo Biomedico, 1st building, 3rd floor) and offers the following facilities:

■ 2 reading rooms provide seating for 60 users (30 each).

■ a reference and multimedia room with 4 workstations

■ the library staff office

■ a book depository (accessible to the staff only)

Sport Science Library

The library houses advanced textbooks, study materials, journals and offers access to the digital resources connected to Degree Courses in Sport science Located at the ground floor of the building in Viale Virgilio, it provides barrier-free access and offers the following facilities:

■ a reading room provides seating for 20 users, including one for wheelchairs

■ 3 workstations allow users to search through catalogues, databases and digital resources subscribed to by the University of Foggia

■ the library staff office

Science in Nursing Degree course - Barletta

The reading room provides seating for 30 users. Textbooks connected to the Degree Course are available.

The Medical and Sport science libraries’ holdings include more than 4000 printed books and 180 current journals. The libraries also house some rare books and collections of VHS and Cd-Rom, available by appointment only. Databases, e-books and e-journals collections are accessible to institutional users. All the collection is searchable through Unifg OPAC and Discovery Tool.
